To provide you with the best possible service and as a courtesy to our therapists, Anchored Within Health has developed and applied the following terms and conditions. By booking a massage or purchasing a gift voucher from Anchored Within Health, you agree to these terms and conditions.
General
- Mercedes Carrillo, is a trained and qualified remedial massage therapist. Diploma of Remedial massage received at Evolve College. Mercedes is dedicated to providing you with the highest standard of care.
- A professional approach to clients health and wellbeing with a focused on massage.
- Accredited with ATMS a governing body to remedial massage and a member of the IICT.
- Health funds provided.
- Please address the therapist, such as a physiotherapist, chiropractor, or medical doctor.
- Mercedes Carrillo reserves the right to change prices and services without notice.
Bookings, payments and deposits
- To secure your appointment, please provide all required information in full at the time of booking.
Cancellations & changes to your appointment
- We require a minimum of 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. This policy is in place to respect the time of our therapists and other clients who may be on a waiting list for appointments.
- Any no-shows or cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice incur a non-refundable policy.
- Any cancellations or changes to your booking must be communicated by sms or email.
If your therapist is delayed
- Your therapist will generally arrive 5 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time. This is in order to gather your Health information to ensure your massage commences on time.
- We attempt to allow for enough time for the therapist to address you from their previous booking. However, circumstances beyond our control may occur, which could result in your therapist running late.
- If your therapist is delayed, you will be notified by SMS or telephone, and we will endeavour to ensure that the length of your massage remains unchanged.
If you are running late
- Please notify us by telephone as soon as possible if you are running late or are unable to commence your massage at the scheduled time. We will do our best to accommodate you.
- Due to scheduling constraints, your therapist may still have to conclude your massage at the scheduled finish time.
- If you arrive late, we will stay until 15 minutes past the scheduled start time of your massage. If you have not arrived within this time frame and have not notified us, you are considered a no-show, and you will incur a 60% cancellation fee. This fee is to compensate for the time that could have been allocated to another client.
Gift Vouchers
- Gift Vouchers are valid for 6 months and are non-refundable. However, we do allow them to be transferred if you are unable to use them for any reason.
Personal Conduct
- Underwear must be worn at all times during the massage.
- Your therapist has the right to cancel the massage and may request the client to leave the premises immediately if there is any harassment, either physical, sexual or verbal.
- Your therapist will always respect your privacy during the massage, draping you in towels and only revealing the part of your body they are working on at that time.
- If you are uncomfortable or require special attention at any time during your massage, please notify your therapist immediately.
- Your therapist is here to cater to your needs. If you prefer more or less pressure, need a glass of water, a tissue, or want to change the style of massage, please inform your therapist. They will do their best to accommodate your request.
Health Conditions
- Please inform us of any special health conditions or medications you are taking when scheduling your appointment, as they may affect your selected treatment.
- If you experience any of the following, we strongly advise you consult your doctor before your treatment to obtain their approval:
- high/low blood pressure
- heart conditions, allergies
- physical ailments
- surgery
- pregnancy
- or any other medical conditions
- For remedial and therapeutic treatments, you will be given a form to complete regarding your health record at the time of your booking. This form is designed to ensure that your therapist is fully informed about your health conditions and can prepare the best possible treatment for you.
Pregnancy
- Massage is not recommended during the first trimester of pregnancy, but it is considered safe during the second and third trimesters when performed by a trained therapist. If you are pregnant, it is essential that you consult your doctor before your massage treatment.
- A pregnancy intake form is essential prior to commencement.
- We utilise a pillow system, and sheets to accomodate for your comfort, privacy and discretion. Your comfort is our priority.
- To ensure you receive a safe and effective treatment, please provide all necessary and current health information about your pregnancy to your therapist.
- Some types of therapeutic massage may not be appropriate throughout your pregnancy. Your therapist is a fully trained professional and reserves the right to deny any treatment requests they deem as unsuitable.
- It is essential that you inform us if you have any of the following symptoms or conditions:
- Nausea
- Low Blood Pressure
- High Blood Pressure
- Hemorrhoids
- Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT)
- Eclampsia
- Abdominal Cramping
- Shingles
- Diabetes
